A Coloring Book + Coaching Experience
BIG Emotions Scavenger Hunt Coloring Book
What if the behavior you're seeing on the outside is actually your child trying to communicate what is happening on the inside?
A meltdown. Shutting down. Yelling. Hitting. Refusing. Clinging.
Sometimes a child simply doesn't have words yet for the BIG emotional charge happening inside their body. That's why this book exists.
A New Way to See
Instead of immediately asking "What is wrong with this child?" — we begin asking "What is this behavior trying to communicate?" That one shift changes everything.
The old question
"What is wrong with this child?"
"My child is so bad."
"I'm such a bad parent."
The new question
"What is this behavior trying to communicate?"
"This is a GOOD kid having a HARD time."
"I'm a GOOD parent having a HARD time — and I can learn another way."
Because children do not need perfectly regulated parents. They need adults who are learning how to recognize their own emotions, regulate themselves, repair when necessary, and become a safe place where BIG emotions can be felt without becoming harmful behavior.
That's why the parent learns first.
How It Works
This isn't just another coloring book. It's an interactive, family-friendly tool designed to help children become curious about their emotions instead of afraid of them. When an emotion shows up — go find it!
What feeling are we looking for?
What color would it be?
Where do you feel it in your body?
Does it feel tight, hot, shaky, heavy, buzzy or wiggly?
What shape does it make?
What helps that feeling become a little less scary?
Suddenly, feelings aren't monsters hiding in the dark. They become something a child can notice, name, explore, color and communicate.
And when children have language for what is happening inside them, parents and caregivers have more opportunity to guide what happens next.

About Sarah
Hi there,
As an Integrated Attachment Theory, Complex Trauma and Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coach, I created this book because I know firsthand what happens when we grow up without language for our emotions.
When children don't have words for what's happening inside them, those feelings don't disappear — they come out in behavior. And when parents don't have tools to respond, those moments can become battles instead of bridges.
This book is designed to change that. Not by fixing children — but by helping the whole family get curious together. Because emotional health isn't just something we teach children. We model it.
Your child's BIG emotions do not have to become a battle. They can become an invitation — to slow down, get curious, and connect.
With care and love,
Sarah Eva Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Complex Trauma & Attachment Theory CoachFeelings are FRIENDS. And the sooner your family learns that — the sooner those BIG emotions become something you navigate together instead of something that tears you apart.
